In a previous post I talked about how the Pile on The Miles Challenge helped me stay on track and reach my running goals. Since there weren’t any challenge this time, I challenged myself to finish 52 miles in December.
I am so happy to say that I was able to reach this goal which was a pretty big feat for me, considering the holidays, my trip to Vermont, and all my friends being home. But beating my goal this month was such an awesome feeling I’m excited to set a new one for January. This month I hope to run at least 60 miles.
To keep me motivated, I have my running playlist I’m in love with, tons of new running gear from the holidays and the motivation of a new year. Not to mention, my flight to California is officially booked for the Napa Valley Trail Marathon. I could not be more excited. Starting the new year while training for a half marathon could not be more perfect!
Here’s to starting 2016 with 60 solid miles!
